The Company of Forests is a private company specialized in communication and innovation in the forest and environmental sectors. Since 1995 it publishes the forest magazine "Sherwood - Forests and Trees Today", which has national distribution. Its activities include also disclosure and dissemination of knowledge and advances in experimental research in the forest and environmental sector. These activities are carried out in collaboration with local authorities and research institutes, thanks to the fact its staff comprehends graduates in forestry also. In particular, The Company of Forests’ themes deal with tree plantations for wood production, forest fire, tree silviculture, and voluntary agreements to offset carbon credits. These activities are complemented by conferences, seminars, and training courses; manuals, guidelines, brochures, thematic maps, calendars, websites, and videos are also produced.

The Company sets and manages also web sites related to projects in which it is involved itself and is the owner of the only Italian on-line library dedicated to the forest sector (www.ecoalleco.it).

For some years, it has been engaged as a partner in charge of communication in several LIFE projects. For example, PProSpoT, InBioWood, SelPiBioLife, and AForClimate but it has also collaborated in the creation of communication products for other LIFE projects such as SummaCop, Carbomark, FreshLife, and FutureForCoppices.
